Product Details

This shape of blade was found in the weapons depot of pop Smidel Naosom in Slovenia. Comparable blades were also found in Numantia in Spain. The scabbard is reproduced from a discovery made in Azucarera in Spain. 2 nd half of the 2nd century BC. These blades are wrongfully qualified as Gladius blades. They are however too long to be called Gladius. The blade length is approximately 63 cm and 5,1 cm broad. The handle is in bone and the guard is made of thuya.
The scabbard is made of wood covered with red leather surrounded by brass reinforcement.
