Product Details

Replica of a find from Switzerland with Gemellianus inscription.

This knife with the inscription is one of the first in a long series and he has probably marketed his manufacturer name well.

It probably dates back to the end of the 2nd century. There are pieces, as can be seen in the picture here, that have been covered with a blackened copper sheet.

The sheath is made of brass with red, vegetable-tanned, hand-sewn leather (optionally backed with a copper sheet).

The steel blade is decorated with a deer bone and 2 silver cuffs.

Total length in the case approx. 31 cm

Length of the knife with handle approx. 27 cm, height of the blade approx. 2 cm

The counter fitting knife appeared around the middle of the 2nd century AD and continued until the end of the 4th century AD.

There are different shapes and designs. To date, around 200 cases are known.

Upon request, also with a Damascus blade for an additional charge

Made entirely by hand in Germany, not a bad cheap Indian product
