beautiful aviforme brooch after a find from the merovingian necropole in Goudelencourt, France, Picardie, end of the 6th to beginning of the 7th century AD.
This brooch is today conserved in the Musée des Temps Barbares in Marle, Aisne, France.

bronze plate with steel needle, covered with a fine silver plate, goldplated 24 carat, ornated with filigree wires , four real Almandine garnets, silver rivets and two small sweetwaterpearls fixed in small mountings.
Two versions of this brooch are available, both looking to the right side.
